THE PROJECT
The eLabHauSE.rur project works on strengthening the resilience and increasing the capacity of local public administrations, social economy SMEs and society in European rural territories to overcome difficulties and crises through the New European Bauhaus.
OBJECTIVES
— To develop through public-private partnerships co-design and co-creation laboratories based on the European New Bauhaus approach (LabHauSE) that facilitate and promote more resilient, sustainable and inclusive employment and social opportunities in rural areas;
— To promote and share good practices and success stories in green economy, blue economy and social economy, which have applied the New European Bauhaus approach, through citizen science tools and participatory methodologies;
— Co-design local action plans and a roadmap to implement and transfer social economy laboratories inspired by the New European Bauhaus (LabHauSE) in European rural territories with the aim of boosting the green and digital transition, relying on the collective intelligence of local communities (public authorities, social economy enterprises and organizations, stakeholders and citizens) as a key factor of resilience, well-being, social cohesion and sustainability;
— To implement a broad dissemination, capitalisation and transfer programme to increase knowledge of the local action plans as well as of the LabHauSEs among local communities and stakeholders;
— To increase knowledge and awareness of the opportunities of the social economy for the sustainable and cohesive development of the territory.
To address these objectives, the project proposes to create rural social economy laboratories based on the New European Bauhaus approach, towards the long-term sustainability of rural economies.
